Faeriecon East 2013

At some point over the holidays, I realized I never made the time to post about this year’s Faeriecon East, which is really a shame because it was quite awesome. Jim Butcher was there this year, which was one of my personal highlights. There was also the typical revelry and tons of awesome costumes. Seriously—-TONS OF AWESOME COSTUMES.

I spent a lot of time hanging out with different people, including the lovely Masha Masquerade, who is always a lot of fun.

My only problem with Faeriecon is that I just never have enough money—-there is so much cool stuff to buy and I just want all the shiny, pretty things…..

Especially hats by Blonde Swan. Look her up, it's amazing stuff.

Like I said earlier, Jim Butcher, author of the Dresden Files series was a special guest this year. I was thrilled to see his panel and hear him speak. He talks just like he writes, which was pretty cool. He’s a funny down to earth guy and I had the pleasure of meeting him with Masha!

Another highlight—I had the pleasure of meeting the main lady behind Moresca, one of my favorite clothing shops at the Maryland Renaissance Festival, which was super cool. 🙂

For me, Faeriecon is just one way to try to hold on to the renfest feeling for just a little bit longer once faire season has ended in Maryland. It’s another reason to dress up and have fun, and I was so glad I made it there this year! Here’s some of my favorite images from this year!
